Volcanoes
Here are pictures from a volcano we made last month. After reading up on the lost city of Pompeii and acting out a play we decided we would make our own volcano. We used air baking soda and vinegar to create a reaction inside our volcano. We built our volcano out of clay. A useful tip is to build your volcano around a cup (to hold your vinegar). We used red paint to create the lava like colour. No cities were destroyed in the making of this experiment!!!
Did you know??
The liquid rock inside a volcano is called magma.
When this liquid rock explodes to the surface it is called lava.
